PTSA Board Nominations

The CRHS PTSA Nomination Committee has announced their nominations for the 2025-2026 school year PTSA Board. Voting for the next year's board members will take place at the Membership Meeting next week on April 30.

We are still looking for a VP of Fundraising. We are also looking for representatives for the following: SNACK, Reflections, Clothes Closet, Spirit Wear & PIE Basket.

Did you know that STUDENTS can be on the Executive Board??? YES, you can! If you're interested in leadership, understanding how governing boards work, or just want to have something cool to place on your applications, why not consider your very own PTSA?

Final Membership Meeting

Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in the PRO Center Room on Campus at 7:00pm

PLEASE plan to be there for this important meeting! We will be announcing the Scholarship Winners, as well as voting on important matters before closing out the school year.

Graduation Cords

Awardees will be given cords on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. An invitation from the school will be sent to parents and students. Membership Cords (Purple) are awarded to those students who were members of the Cedar Ridge HS PTSA for all the years enrolled at CR.Raiders in Action/Volunteerism Cords (Silver) are awarded to those students who have volunteered 80 hours or more during their high school career. The deadline for volunteer submissions was March 31st, and hours were finalized and submitted to the school administration on April 2nd.

The Clothes Closet

Donations Needed!! The Clothes Closet is in need of Boys Boxer Briefs Size Small or Size 6-8 and Girls Sock Size M and Lg. We are also in desperate need of Unisex Sweatpants in all sizes; 4t-3XL.

Front Door Safety

Your PTSA wants to remind all students and parents that the only visitor entrance to the school is through the front door. For the safety of all of our students and staff, we are asking parents to remind their students that side doors and back entrances are never for visitors. Please do not let adults in doors behind yourself. Please follow our safety guidelines every single time! Thank you!

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Blackland Prairie Elementary

One time scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for a former BPE student, graduating from a RRISD High School in May 2025. Students must be enrolled in a qualified 4 year university, or 2 year technical or trade school. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the attended program and not to the individual recipient. * Must have attended Blackland Prairie Elementary for a minimum of 3 years
* Student will graduate May 2025 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 from a RRISD High School
* Student must be a current member of their High School PTSA
* Student must be accepted to an accredited college, university, or trade school for the summer or fall following graduation from their high school.

* Incomplete or illegible applications will not be considered.

* Additional information, other than the application, will NOT be reviewed.

S.N.A.C.K. Donation Drive

Cedar Ridge PTSA provides a program called S.N.A.C.K. (Serving Needs And Caring for Kids) to our students who are in transition, meaning they do no have a permanent residence. These students may be living in cars, hotels or other locations and do not have access to some of the basic food and hygiene items. Once collected, the items are assembled, and the Counceling Team distributes the bags to students in need.

Donations can be dropped off at school until Friday, March 7th by 3:00PM.

Raiders in Action is a CRHS PTSA-sponsored service program that recognizes and rewards students for volunteering in the community.
